EMPOWERING THE YOUTH AS ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATES. The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) – Quirino conducted an information drive on environmental protection and conservation during the District Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP) Camporal held yesterday, at Andres Bonifacio Elementary School in Diffun, Quirino.
 
Aimed at empowering the youth sector and fostering environmental responsibility, almost 500 boy scouts from the 16 elementary schools participated in a lecture on proper waste segregation and disposal, and actual waste segregation activity.
In partnership with the Department of Education and Boy Scout of the Philippines, the information campaign was conducted to strengthen the implementation of Republic Act No. 9003 or the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.”#
