PROMOTING POSITIVE CHANGE THROUGH DANCING. With its clear message of positive change for the environment, the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENR) Office of Cabagan in Isabela was awarded 2nd runner-up during the Inter-Agency Kpop Dance Contest in celebration of the Cabagan Patronal Town Fiesta held at JTA Cultural and Sports Complex in Cabagan town on Jan. 22, this year.
The CENR Office Cabagan dance troop incorporated elements of forest protection highlighting the importance of tree growing for the present and future generations.
As first-timers in the dance competition, the team stunned the audience with their dramatic performance and earned the 2nd runner-up award with a cash prize of P20,000. Twelve other agencies joined the said event.
“Our participation in the 2024 Interagency K-Pop Dance contest was merely a fun and a manifestation of support and cooperation with LGU Cabagan. However, it was a surprise when we were adjudged as the 2nd runner-up. Perhaps, the message conveyed by the performers portraying tree growing and forest protection caught the attention of the judges,” CENR Officer Dionicio Deundo said.#
