Ang open dumpsite ay ipinasarana ng DENRdahilsapaglabagsa Republic Act 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000) at RA 8749 (Clean Air Act of 1999). ###

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 3 Executive Director Paquito T. Moreno Jr. signs on the manifesto of commitment on Sunday (April 28) during the culmination of the 2019 Earth Day celebration in Obando, Bulacan. By affixing his signature, Moreno commits to help the Obando residents transform their place into a ‘zero waste’ community. The Marilao-Meycauyan-Obando River System is one of the heaviest polluted rivers in the country which drain to the Manila Bay. ##

The painted sails are the local artists’ depiction of the story and rich culture of Boracay.
