PBB Cagayan Jan. 2024

YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT. Grades IV to VI pupils of Buntun Elementary School in Tuguegarao City were taught proper waste disposal and segregation in an environmental education conducted by PENR Office Cagayan yesterday, Jan. 18, in celebration of the Zero Waste Month.
 
Solid waste management icon Pinas Basura Buster or PBB was introduced to the pupils to further engage them in practicing proper waste segregation, recycling, upcycling and other greening efforts.
 
In her message, school principal Grace Nacman expressed their commitment and support to various programs of the DENR.
 
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 760 signed in 2014, January is declared as Zero Waste Month to
promote environmental awareness and encourage public participation in ecological solid waste management.#
