The ribbon-cutting marks the inauguration of the Fuyot Spring National Park Elevated Boardwalk held on June 29, 2022, with Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Orly T. Cariazo, CENRO Naguilian Rolando Siggayo, PENRO Isabela Technical Services Division Chief Giovanie Taguinod, Protected Area Superintendent (PASu) Junee Amor Mijares and Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) members.

During the PAMB meeting, Mijares recognized the hard work both from the DENR and PA Governing Board to mark the inauguration a success. "We are inaugurating the boardwalk for this structure is significant to help the protected areas attract more tourists."

She stressed that in 2016, 1.35 kilometers, 1,314 step stairs leading to the Pinzall falls were constructed but were washed out by typhoons Ompong on September 18, 2018, and Rosita on October 18, 2018; the reason came with a proposal for elevated boardwalk.

"Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn C. Bambalan approved a 1.2 million budget with support from the Biodiversity Management Bureau, and two (2) elevated facilities were made possible," Mijares further said.

FSNP is a protected area located in Barangay Santa Victoria in Ilagan City, Isabela, 405 kilometers northeast of Manila which also contains the Ilagan Sanctuary, which is 819 hectares in area. It covers four barangays namely Pasa, Fuyo, Sta. Catalina and Sta. Victoria.

The park is a popular draw for hikers, mountaineers, spelunkers, and birdwatchers who come to explore its mountain trails, caves, odd rock formations, and aviary. Adjacent to the park lies the larger Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park, which contains even more diverse wildlife.

The Pinzal Falls is a significant draw inside the park and provides relaxation to visitors aside from the park's many natural mountains.
