A total of 219 sacks of garbage were collected along the Magat River in Ramon, Isabela; Sangbay River in Nagtipunan, Quirino; and Ganano River in Cajel and Baguio Village in Diffun, Quirino and in other areas in Alicaocao and Carabatan Chica in Cauayan City, Calao East, Santiago City, municipalities of Quezon and San Isidro, all in Isabela; Baringin, Magsaysay, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; and Centro 2, Claveria, Cagayan.

 

Most of the collected wastes were plastic materials like soda bottles, bags and sacks.

 

182 bamboo propagules and indigenous seedlings like talisay, bani, barukbok, and bitaog were also planted at the same areas to include along the seashore and mangrove part of the Palaui Island and Protected Landscape and Seasape in San Vicente, Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

 

The MOO with the theme "Sustainably Feed the Global Population" aims to highlight the importance of conservation, protection and sustainable management of the Philippine coastal and marine resources.
