IMPROVING HUMAN RESOURCE COMPETENCIES. To improve the human resource performance through the implementation of a competency-based system, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 holds today an online rollout activity on the preparation of the Individual Development Plan (IDP).
 
In attendance to the learning event were section chiefs of regional office; and management services division chiefs, human resource management officers, and administrative focal persons of field offices.
 
The event aims to identify and address gaps between the required and actual level of competencies of the employees.
Earlier, DENR Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan ordered a policy for employees to have at least one learning event attended in a year.
 
In her message, DENR Administrative Division Chief Patricia Liban who represented Assistant Regional Director Ismael Manaligod, emphasized the importance of evaluating the employees’ competencies.
 
She said the IDP as a tool is very useful not only in developing employees but also in improving the office performance.
Through the IDP, employees will be capacitated with various form of learnings and developmental activities.
 
The IDP will be used as basis for career and succession planning, training needs assessment, and employee evaluation.
During the workshop, the participants were guided on the process of preparing their IDP for 2023-2025.
 
The learning event was facilitated by the Administrative Division with Administrative Officer II Jessica Mae Calagui as the subject matter expert.#
