AKSYON PARA SA NATATANGING MUNDO. To drumbeat the celebration of the Philippine Environment this June in the province of Batanes, the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) recently conducted an environmental lecture in Uyugan town.
 
With the theme ‘Aksyon para sa Natatanging Mundo,” the activity which was participated in by officials and residents of Barangay Imnajbu aimed to solicit their support on environmental protection and preservation.
 
Among the topics discussed were wildlife protection and conservation; coastal and marine ecosystems management; and requirements and processes on environmental permit issuances.
 
PENRO Batanes will also conduct tree planting, coastal cleanup, youth camp, film viewing, monitoring of marine turtle nesting sites, airing of radio infomercials, and distribution of information, education and communication materials.#
