CHANGE OF COMMAND. Forester Orly Cariazo accepts the DENR flag from For. Federico Cauilan Jr. that signifies the transfer of authority and responsibility for the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENR) Office of Isabela.
 
The change of command is pursuant to DENR Region 2 Special Order No. 2022-191 signed by Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan on May 16, following the appointment of PENR Officer Cariazo issued by Secretary Jim Sampulna.
 
For. Cauilan will return to his previous assignment as Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENR) Officer of Palanan, Isabela.
 
In her message during the turn-over ceremony held earlier today in Santiago City, Director Bambalan thanked CENR Officer Cauilan for accepting the challenge and for the services rendered as the manager of DENR in Isabela under her administration.
"There will still be possibility to go up for as long as you are performing your work well," she emphasized.
 
As she officially welcomed the new PENR officer and congratulated him for his achievements, the DENR regional chief has also requested the key officials of the province to extend their full support to their new head. "I know you are doing well, but there is still room for improvement," she added.
 
Director Bambalan also underscored responsibility and accountability of government officials.
 
"In the region, we really demand performance. Position is a responsibility, and responsibility connotes accountability. At the end of the exercise, we are accountable to the public," she stressed.
 
PENR Officer Cariazo is a native of Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. Prior to his assignment in Region 2, he worked at the DENR in National Capital Region. He was also assigned at the Forest Management Bureau, DENR Central Office, and as OIC, PENR Officer in Davao.
 
"I thank the top management for giving me the opportunity to serve Region 2. We sustain what were started and innovate to improve further the implementation of DENR programs in this province," the new DENR Isabela chief said.
 
Meanwhile, CENR Officer Cauilan expressed his gratitude to the regional management for the support given during his stint as the provincial chief.
 
The turn-over ceremony was graced by RED Bambalan and was witnessed by Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Technical Services Marcos Dacanay, ARD for Management Services Ismael Manaligod, Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Director Mario Ancheta, Environmental Management Bureau Nelson Honrado, and key officials of DENR in Isabela and Quirino.#
