LIVELIHOOD ASSISTANCE FOR FORMER REBELS. The 80 former rebels in Cagayan Valley have received livelihood assistance from the different national government agencies during the recently concluded Balik-Loob Caravan in Gonzaga, Cagayan.
 
During the program, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 Assistant Regional Executive Director Marcos Dacanay who represented Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan discussed the different Priority Programs of the Department.
 
“The DENR needs full support of the public regardless of their status in life. I urge our former rebels to help us protect and conserve our natural resources by tree planting and growing activities,” the assistant regional environment chief said.
 
Joining ARED Dacanay during the caravan were Enforcement Division Chief Joel Daquioag, and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer Joselito Razon who spearheaded the distribution of 400 indigenous forest tree seedlings to former rebels.
 
The Balik-Loob Caravan is part of the implementation of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) of the Task Force Balik-Loob of the government. It is one of the activities in support of Administrative Order No. 25, s. 2020 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte or “Amending Administrative Order No. 10, s. 2018 known as Centralizing All Government Efforts For the Reintegration of Former Rebels and Creating For the Purpose an Inter-Agency Task Force”.#
