INSTITUTIONALIZING SERVICE EXCELLENCE. As part of institutionalizing meritocracy and excellence in human resource management, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 has recently held another batch of oath-taking ceremony.

DENR Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan administered the oath of office of the 62 appointed personnel of the Regional Office and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya.
In her message, Director Bambalan urged the newly appointed personnel to continuously perform their job with excellence and support the agency in achieving its priority thrusts and programs.

“I learned that you are already doing multi-tasking roles even before you were appointed or promoted. It is indeed necessary to perform your duties and responsibilities since DENR is one of the biggest agencies in the national bureaucracy. Do your job even if you are not told to do so because each of you has a specific role to play in attaining the goals of our organization,” the regional environment chief said.

She added that choosing among the top five contenders was really hard.

"It took us time to gauge who is worthy to be appointed,” RED Bambalan said.

The blended oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by Assistant Regional Executive Directors Ismael Manaligod and Marcos Dacanay; Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Officers, members of the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board, DENR employees and family members of the appointees.#
