LAND DISPUTE RESOLUTION AWARDEES. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 and two of its Alternative Dispute Resolution Officers (ADROs) received exemplary performance awards during the National ADR celebration held in Pasay City.
 
Land Management Inspector Alexis Abrasaldo of the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Nagtipunan and Special Investigator II Cesar Tolenada of CENRO Diffun, both in Quirino province received plaques of recognition as 2021 top ADROs nationwide.
 
The Pool of ADROs of DENR Region 2 headed by Legal Division Chief Richard Jayson Garan was also awarded as one of the top regional pool of ADROs.
 
In her message during the recently held Regional Management Conference, Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan lauded the efforts of the ADR committee in the speedy resolution of land cases in the region.
 
“I congratulate our ADR officers for a job well done,” Director Bambalan said.
 
Assistant Secretary for Legal Affairs and DENR ADR Committee Chairperson Michelle Angelica Go recognized the awardees from regions 2, 4-B, 5, 6, 10 and Cordillera Administrative Region for their contribution to promote and institutionalize ADR in the department.
 
During the awarding, Legal Affairs Service Director Norlito Eneran highlighted the accomplishments of the ADR committee despite the risks and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasized the future conduct of alternative dispute resolution in other sectors of the agency to fast track resolutions of cases not only in land management and disposition.
 
Among the activities implemented were the issuance of virtual procedures in the conduct of ADR and in the establishment of ADROs and PADROs in the regional offices; adoption of ADR Monitoring and Results System (MRS) to facilitate the submission of ADR documents; conduct of series of lectures among ADR officers; and recognition of exemplary performances.
 
The implementation of ADR program is pursuant to Department Administrative Order No. 30 s. 2016 known as the Guidelines in the Conduct of ADR in Land Management and Disposition.
 
The National ADR Day was also highlighted with the oath-taking of newly accredited ADROs in the field offices of the DENR.#
