CHANGE OF COMMAND. DENR Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn C. Bambalan hands over the Department's flag and the key of responsibility to For. Aida S. Adap to be transferred to Engr. Ilarde C. Viernes that signal the turn over of command of the CENR Office in Aparri, Cagayan.
 
Engr. Viernes took the post as Aparri's new CENR Officer following his appointment issued recently by Secretary Roy A. Cimatu.
 
Newly appointed CENR Officer Adap is now assigned as head of the DENR in Alcala, Cagayan after the responsibility was formally turned over to her by CENR Officer Viernes in a ceremony held yesterday. The changing of guard is pursuant to the regional special order issued by Director Bambalan on Sept. 23.
 
The regional environment chief underscored in her message what good leaders should do when given new assignments. "Acceptance is the first thing to do; and when you're there, you need to integrate by navigating your environment and the people you will be working with," she said.
 
"As the new leader, dapat may dala-dala kang pagbabago or reform to improve the operations of the office," Director Bambalan added as she requested the personnel of the two CENR Offices to accord the same support and cooperation given to their former heads.
 
The turn over ceremonies were also witnessed by PENR Officer Ismael T. Manaligod and management services chief Mae G. delos Santos.#
