TRAINING FOR EXCELLENCE. Sixteen DENR Region 2 personnel have added to the pool of trained frontliners following the Frontline Course under the Environment and Natural Resources Academy (ENRA) held on August 18-22 at the Narra Hall, DENR Regional Office, Tuguegarao City.

Human Resource Development Service (HRDS) Director Ric G. Enriquez who represented Assistant Secretary Joan A. Lagunda in the closing program emphasized that the Covid-19 pandemic is not a hindrance for the DENR to provide its personnel with the learning opportunities for continuous professional and career development. "One of the best things about life is that we never stop learning. There are always new skills to learn and techniques for us to adopt," he said.

Director Enriquez reminded the frontliners to perform well and serve with utmost integrity, sincerity and perseverance. "We encourage you to uphold the DENR core values as we hurdle and perform our sworn duties and responsibilities as vanguards of the environment," he added.

In her message, Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn C. Bambalan said the ENR Frontline Course is pursuant to the priority directive of Secretary Roy A. Cimatu to improve and enhance the competencies of DENR employees.

"With your attendance here, I am now confident that the delivery of our services in the department will be improved," said Director Bambalan. "I am also optimistic that with the increasing number of graduates, customers go out of the office smiling because they are happy with the service given them," she added as she encouraged the graduates to apply their learnings in the five-day course.

The ENR Frontline Course is one of the five-track ENR Academy Program being implemented by the DENR through the HRDS. The ENRA is a specialized program designed for DENR employees to get the best transfer of technical knowledge and skills. Other programs offered in the academy are Basic, Supervisory, Managerial and Executive Courses.

In Region 2, the first batch of the Frontline Course was held last year at the DENR Region 2 Training Center in Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.

The mobile training team is led by Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Lilia dL. Abel and Enforcement Division Chief Joel S. Daquioag.#
